InnerSpark Photography

These photographs are from a body of work created during a course of study in black and white film photography at the Maine Photographic Workshops. My original intent was to photograph ensouled trees, as for many years I have been fascinated and befriended by the enchanted trees in the forests of the Appalachian Mountains. Imagine my surprise, then, when instead of trees gesturing and reaching out to me, my eye was caught by boulders, rocks, and stones looking directly at me - all with varied expressions and personalities, and insisting that I photograph them - as Beings in their own right!
